One of my least fondest memories of University life was the massive leap from campus accommodation to private rental midway through my second term. It always struck me how from similar starting points (not much cash and very little information), friends, classmates and acquaintances found themselves experiencing wildly different degrees of housing success. Some people ended up in regency period mansions, others ended up with the Southern Coastal UK equivalent of the Paper Street house from Fight Club. It was a wild scramble almost entirely down to luck.

Is Turkey The Fake Designer Capital of the World?

Have you ever heard the term ‘tourist trap’? No, I’m not talking about pirates kid napping innocent tourists and keeping them hostage for months on end, I’m talking about the tacky, tasteless entertainment that’s laid on in popular resorts throughout the med. Now, most places I’ve been feature the standard hotel lobby performers, you know the drill – drag queens, snake tamers, belly dancers, but Turkey is something else. I’m not one to generalize and I know that, if you go to a popular family resort during your holidays to Turkey holidays to Turkey, chances are you’ll experience more kitsch than culture.

5 Things That Can Go Wrong When Hiring A Car

Renting a car is something that many people do when they are on vacation as it makes sense to make a move like this to get around but there are of course times where things go wrong. This can be anything from crashing the car without insurance or indeed just running low on fuel in the middle of a foreign country where you know nothing about the culture or indeed the location of the nearest fuel station. Colour choice in your car apparently says a great deal about you. According to some psychologically-driven profiles, people who drive black cars crave to be taken seriously.  When you come across a red car bear in mind that the driver is probably going to be aggressive and impulsive.  White, still the most popular car and van colour, is said to be the preferred option for those who are compulsively neat, critical and cautious and prefer white’s high visibility and safety.

Dangerous Countries To Drive A Car

People in first world Western countries generally have a pretty good driving experience. Sure, there will always be concerns about things like car accidents and bad weather conditions, but it’s not like the average driver in the United States or Canada worries that they’ll be mugged in their car at a stoplight, that a bomb will go off next to their car or that the police officer that just flagged them down is actually a thief.

The World’s Worst Restaurant Names

When you’re looking for a place to eat, the name of the restaurant is an important factor that helps you determine whether you want to go there or not. For example, if you want Chinese food, you’re probably not going to be interested in a restaurant named Little Italy. If you want to eat out in a fancy place, Chili City is probably not going to do it for you. Since names play such an important role in the decision process, you’d think restaurant owners would either use their brains or do a little research before naming their restaurants. However, the plethora of awful restaurant names out there proves that they don’t.
