Comments is the life of any blog, it is a measure of how active a blog is. Here in Open article submission we appreciate every comment you post and we always look forward to see more comments from you. Posting comments here has benefits and there are also some rules. Please read it in full before you proceed.

Following are the benefits of commenting on Open article submission.

• Open article submission is dofollow now – I have thought over this and decided to make comments on OAS dofollow. All comments that are accepted and approved here will be dofollow.

• Top commentators – here in OAS, we have recently installed a top commentators plugin and decided to make all 10 links on it as dofollow. The top 10 commentators will be refreshed monthly.

• High traffic – OAS is not a regular, everyday blog. The OAS article directory receives a heavy flow of traffic all day long. So, posting comments here will give you referral traffic. We get about 800+ unique everyday; imagine hitting the top of the top commentators list.

• Comment love plugin – Com-luv is another addon plugin that we have here to provide further value to our active commentators.

• Comment contests – I have plans to start comment contests, check this place regularly for update on this.

Now, let’s come to the rules part.

• Spam protection – We have plugins like Akismet and bad-behavior to stop spam comments. We also have re-captcha but we only use it for user registration. I manually approve every comment before it gets displayed, thus making sure that no spam comment can pass through.

• One liners – Please do not post any one line comment, words like, “nice article”, “good article” etc. or letting me know how good the article is, in any other way, adds nothing constructive. Such comments will not be approved. Personally, I never post a comment that does not add any value, my comments are usually half a page long and it complements the article and adds additional content to improve and enhance the article further. I expect the same, if not more, from my commentators.

• No violence or racial comments – I have a lot more tolerance of such comments on my political blog, but here in OAS I do not accept any such comments. Please keep a cool head while commenting. Dis-agreement with the author is fine, you have, right to speech, you are free to add your thoughts which might be different from the views of the author, but you will have to politely present your comment.

• Comment format – No keywords in the name field please, else your comment will not be approved; it will surely be deleted without being read. Put a valid email id in the email field of the comment so that I can contact you if the need be, feel free to put your site or your favorite site’s link in the link field. Please note that adult/casino types of links are not accepted. Only family friendly links please.

Above all, make sure to keep your comments related to the article, after writing the comment make sure to read it and correct the spelling/grammar mistakes. Don’t write something that an automated bot can do as well.
