A hairstyle, hairdo, or haircut refers to styling of head hair. The styling of hairs may be considered as a factor of fashion and cosmetics. Word Formal means traditional.
People of different culture wear different types of hairstyle. For example buns are the formal women hairstyle. Shimada is the formal hairstyle of Japan and Queue is the formal hairstyle in Northern states of America. Long hairs are formal hairs style for women in almost all cultures and countries.
Usually women’s hair style is quite long and laid straight. But we can also see women worn bun hair style. It is also known as a Bobtail. In bun hair style hairs are laid backwards from the face and twisted, and hairs are wrapped like a circular coil in the back of the head.
Hairs can be fixed with hair pins, hairnets or bobby pins. Hairs can be tightly grouped and fixed in the shape of a bun and remaining part is left downwards like a ponytails. It may lead to headaches if hairs worn very tight or too high.
Some also wears loose buns. In loose buns hairs are kept free and this type of hair style is also known as a “ballet bun”. Usually all female ballet dancers wear loose buns. So it is named as “ballet bun”.
Double buns or pigtail buns are also called odango. It is a kind of Japanese dumpling. Odangos are usually called as dango. These double buns or pigtail buns became very popular by the Sailor Moon of anime and manga series, whose heroine has worn her hairs in thishair style . She also worn two tiny pigtails that laid down from two buns, but this is not universal to the term’s usage. The term odango in Japanese can refer to any variety of bun hairstyle.
In Europe, Spiked hairs are bleached blond are most often seen in metro sexual people. Some hair styles like French Crop and crew cut are very popular in Britain and the US. The credit of spikes goes to David Beckham.
Afro is the formal hair style, is very popular in African countries. Chonmage is a traditional Japanese haircut. Bangs or Fringe is a formal hair style, where hairs are combed towards forehead and cut above the eyebrows. Bob cut is a classical short hair style where the hairs at both ends are cut around length of chin and kept very closed to the facial area.
Comb over is a hair style that is combed from one region of the head to another region of the head. This is worn often to cover bald spots. Commonly people relate thishair style to Donald Trump. Crew cut is hair style that is very common in the military.
