Natural Hair Style

Natural hairs or natural hair style are the words commonly used by Western people to refer to the pattern of Black Afro hairs that can not be changed chemically by applying the methods of perming, relaxing, straightening, bleaching or hair dying. However, it should be noticed, that all black people of African race might not have natural Afro textured hairs, though the majority of the people have.
In certain groups such as the Fulbe of Western Africa have hair that ranges from straight to freely coil due to admixture of them with some non Black African community. But hairs of people of non-mixed Black African races are tightly coiled.
Some adjectives like “hard”, “kinky”, “nappy”, “smooth” or “woolly” are also used in describing the natural hair. This hair is tightly twisted and very soft to touch. Most of the People of Andamanese Negritos and Melanesian also have tightly twisted hair.
Some people wear wigs to hide their natural hairs. A wig is a head of hair made from hair of horse, human, wool, feathers of birds, buffalo hair, or synthetic. Wigs are worn on the head for fashion or because of many other reasons. The reasons also include some cultural and religious observance. The word ‘wig’ is short form of periwig and initially seen in the English language during 1675.Some bald persons wear wigs to disguise the fact that they are bald. Some Actors and actresses often wear wigs in order to suit to the character they are acting.
Some famous evolutionary Scientist such as Jablonski, Iyengar, Rogers, Quintana-Murci proclaims that the genus Homo arose in Eastern countries of Africa nearly before 2.5 million years.
Before the nineteenth century, American Blacks have been trying to comb their hair with many ways. During the times between late 1890s and the early 1900s, Annie Malone, Madam C. J. Walker and Garrett Augustus Morgan brought up a sudden change in the hairstyles of American Blacks by inventing a chemical application to change the naturally curled hairs.
During the days of 1930s, conking hair style became a modern method in the United States for Blacks to straighten their curly twisted hairs. In the Autobiography of Malcolm X, author widely described about conking hairstyle.
Some debates are held at different parts of Southern America and Africa to discuss whether all these new hair cares are raised from the desire to make hair more manageable and stylish or to compete with Europe in standard of beauty. Some whites supported the second theory and argued for many days. Initially these debates started with the hair style topic and diverted and discussion are done on topics of slavery and imperialism of European nations.
