Improvement is an enigma wrapped in complex waves of life. As rolling stone gathers no moss, similarly self-improvement and regular grooming makes a man dynamic, regular and fit for any occasion. It is complimentary to success and basic ingredient for all adventures. Before we talk about self-improvement we need to understand flaws of our nature, behavior and impediments in the way of our desired objectives. Human improvements is totally different from mechanical repair, thus clinical solution and sudden results can never be achieved. The essence of self improvement is essentially related to human temperament thus requires sensitive and delicate approach. Let us see the basics of self-improvement.

Diagnosis before treatment is an established norm. This is true with human nature also. We require a human mirror to get our work done; flatterers and sycophants can never help us in this regard. A fearless guide, positive brooding and realization to flaws can certainly help us. Self-improvement needs free, frank and fearless discussion.

Self-improvement without healthy interaction is not possible. Interaction without suitable words and expression is of no use. Enrichment of language and style is precondition for good interaction. So far as language learning is concerned, self-confidence and will power is mandatory. People often talks about themselves and so vanity and pride in their talks, without any shame they also tell lies after lies. In fact, vanity and pride are strong elements in nature. There are some people who abruptly start speaking of themselves. They artfully forge accusations against themselves and start showing their virtues. They pretend their innocence that they have only been drawn in it. But their chief mission is to earn applauses. These should be avoided for self-improvement.

Shakespeare in his play, “hamlet” says, “there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so”. Thus positive thinking is essential for self-improvement. Positive beliefs and attitudes give a sense of optimism. The choice is entirely up to us. On the other hand negative thoughts generally generate an ambience of insecurity, fear and cynicism. In fact it is our thinking about our circumstances, not the circumstances themselves that determine how we feel.

For self-improvement, we need to discover a lesson from events of our lives. Ask yourself, “what is the lesson for me in this occurrence. How can I make the most of this event to become a better person?”. This approach will transform your next challenge into something positive and rewarding. Always be seeking and looking for the wisdom and lessons you can draw from events. This way you will not think of any adverse episode in your life as a catastrophe.

You cannot grow and become capable of earning the kind of money that you desire unless you move out of the comfort zone and gain experience. Mistakes are the price of experience, and experience is the key to the law of accumulation. Everything, including mistakes, and what you do, counts. The biggest mistakes that some people make is the feeling that it is only there opinions or views that are important. When you meet a person and discuss something or read a book, when you listen to music or watch a movie and learn something from all these things, it all counts. No experience in life in any direction is a waste. Our efforts should be to learn from it, to convert a minus into a plus.

The writer sincerely believes that the above-discussed points will make a person remarkably tall amongst ruins of our circumstances.
