Windows Vista Review

OVERVIEW – Windows Vista is very much-hyped operating system released by Microsoft on 30th January 2007. This version was released after 5 years from the release of the Windows XP by Microsoft. Microsoft released two versions of Windows Vista viz. the Vista Premium Ready and the Vista Capable. Closed or shared both source models are used in this operating system released by Microsoft. FEATURES:

(1) Windows Aero: Windows Aero is a new graphical user interface or simply the GUI, which is based on the hardware. This new interface is very much pleasant to look on.

(2) Windows Shell: The ‘Windows shell’ is notably poles apart from the ‘Windows XP’, providing a new variety of navigation, organization, and even the search capabilities.

(3) Instant Search: ‘Windows Vista’ has a brand new method of ‘searching’ called the ‘Instant Search’ that is notably and very much faster and more content-based than the explore features used to be in the preceding versions of the Windows.

SECURITY FEATURES – Different user accounts, and the firewalls are the premier features of the security concern of the Windows Vista. The firewall is IPv6 filtering enabled. The other security features include BitLocker Drive Encryption, Windows Defender, Encrypting File System, Data Execution Prevention, Protected Media Path, Mandatory Integrity Control, CNG API, Network Access Protection, and some other TCP and IP features.
