You have not had enough of steak for sure and you want surely how to cook it right to bring out that gustatory delight in you. Steak has been one of the major meat people have usually during their meal and it is expected that many labor to put an extra effort to learn how to cook it right. Yes, right; cooking it right means getting the most out of this meat.

If you have your steak already purchased from the supermarket, cook it when it is still cold. You can check this by using your fingertips. If it came straight from the freezer, do not let it thaw under room temperature. It is best to let it thaw in your refrigerator.

When you season it with salt and pepper, it is best that you should do this ten minutes prior to the cooking proper. The reason for this is that you do not want your steak dry before it hits the pan. Heat first the skillet before putting the meat. It is best that you cook it with medium fire. You do not want to burn your steak outside but very raw inside. So it is better that you cook it by using medium fire. Flip it over to each side when you measure that it is already brownish in color.

Cooking your steak should be done by putting distance between the skillet and fire an inch away. This is to avoid cooking your steak straight by fire. This may only cause it burnt and lousily cooked.

When it is cooked – and you can tell this by the way the meat ooze the blood inside it: less means rare, more than that means medium, and more means done – you can apply by brushing butter to your preference.
