If you find that your license is transferable, go to step 2.

Step 2: Verify the number of simultaneous installations Verification allowed

Most types of Office licenses allow only one installation on a computer. Return. In addition, the Home and Student package allows users to activate the license on three different computers in the home.

If you have an Office 2010 license, you may be able to install it on another computer without having to transfer the license. However, as of Office 2013, the number of simultaneous installations for all retail packages has been reduced to 1.

Step 3: verify your right to transfer the license
If you only have one simultaneous installation, you probably have the option to transfer the license from one computer to another.
