The impeller is the core component of the pump, and its main functions can be summarized as follows:
Transmitting liquid: When the impeller rotates, the central shaft drives the pumping mechanism to transport the liquid from the suction side to the discharge side. The shape and size of the impeller directly affects the liquid transportation performance, including parameters such as flow, head and pressure.
Increase pressure: During the rotation of the impeller, it will produce a certain centrifugal force on the liquid. This centrifugal force will cause the liquid to gain energy, thus increasing the pressure.
Energy conversion: During the rotation of the impeller, the rotational kinetic energy of the motor is converted into the kinetic energy and potential energy of the liquid, thereby achieving energy conversion.
Reduce friction loss: The flow channel design inside the impeller is usually streamlined, which can reduce the friction loss of the liquid inside the impeller and improve the efficiency of the pump.
The design and manufacture of the impeller directly affects the performance and efficiency of the pump. Through reasonable impeller design, the pump’s delivery capacity can be improved, energy consumption reduced, vibration and noise reduced, thereby achieving efficient, energy-saving and environmentally friendly pumping goals.
Blade processing technology
The processing technology of the blade mainly includes the following steps:
Select the blade material. According to the type of tool and usage scenario, choose the appropriate material, such as carbon tool steel, alloy tool steel, etc.
preprocessing. The steel is annealed to eliminate internal stress and improve the plasticity of the material.
forging. The pre-treated steel is put into a forging press and forged to form the prototype of the blade.
heat treatment. The forged blade is subjected to high temperature treatment to obtain the appropriate hardness and toughness.
Grind. The heat-treated blade is ground to create a precise blade shape and surface roughness.
polishing. The ground blade is polished to remove scratches and rough parts on the surface, making the blade smoother and sharper.
coating. A hard coating is applied to the blade surface to improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the blade.
assembly. Assemble the handle and blade together to create a complete knife.
Precision and quality control need to be paid attention to during the processing to ensure that the processing quality and dimensional accuracy of each step meet the requirements. In addition, to ensure the sharpness and durability of the blade, strict material and heat treatment process control is required, as well as the selection of surface treatments and coatings.
